Fun categories we believe are worth celebrating. Plus we go discuss the global box office of 2025 and see what movies really got people into cinemas.

We have no other choice but to record a podcast this week, as we review the new movie by Park Chan-wook, "No Other Choice". We retro-review his 2003 classic "Oldboy". Plus we take a look at some of the best and worst U.S Adaptations of classic international movies.

We are back in the 28 years franchise, just 28 weeks after Danny Boyle's '28 Years Later'. We review the sequel, '28 Years later: The Bone Temple'. This time it's directed by the amazing Nia DaCosta, and she turns it up to 11 as we take a closer look at the infamous Jimmy gang. For the retro-review we are going all the way back to the start of the zombie genre, with George A. Romero's 'Night of the living dead' from 1968. 
Plus, it's round one of the 2026 Splice Guys Championship.

This week see's us tackle one of the major awards contenders as we review 'Hamnet' from Chloé Zhao. Zhao is one of only three women to win an academy award for best director, so it's only right that for the return of the retro-review, that we jump into her best picture winning 'Nomandland'. Plus it's time for the first ever Splice Guys Championship Draft.

It's 2026 and the Splice Guys are back! 
We can't wait to do review another year of what is sure to be amazing cinema. But we aren't quite ready to say goodbye to 2025. In about a month's time we run through our top 20 of 2025. To help us with that, today's episode see's us review some the the movies that released over the festive period.

It's the final episode of 2025! The cinematic calendar has saved a behemoth of a movie for the end of the year, the long awaited release of 'Avatar: Fire & Ash', the third in the franchise, helmed by the one and only James Cameron. 
We discuss other things we have been watching and take a look at the 2025 movies still on our backlog. 
Plus, we pay tribute to the great, Rob Reiner.
