The Top 20 Movies of 2024

It's finally here. Our biggest episode yet. The Splice Guys celebrate the movies of 2024, with a joint list of their favourite movies of 2024. This was done as a scoring system, and Luis and Liam had no idea what the top 20 was, heading into the episode. Along side this massive episode, we have also released our individual lists as mini episodes. It's our biggest week yet and we hope you enjoy our celebration of some of the fantastic movies that released last year. This is Splice Guys! 

The Brutalist

On this week’s episode we review The brutalist, the American 3 hour epic that is currently the front runner for best picture at the oscars! We Retro-Review The Childhood of a Leader, the debut film by Brady Corbet, he who himself is the frontrunner for best director at the Oscar. We don’t do our Oscar predictions (more on that later) and it’s round three of the splice guys championship. All that and more! This is Splice Guys!

A Complete Unknown

On today's episode we celebrate the life of legendary singer/songwriter Bob Dylan, as we review 'A Complete Unknown'. The new biopic from director James Mangold. We Retro-Review 'I'm not there', also known now as 'the other Dylan movie'. Plus we pay tribute to one of the most iconic directors in history, David Lynch. 

A Real Pain

Today we celebrate the career of Jesse Eisenberg, as we review his new movie 'A Real Pain'. We retro-review 'The Social Network'. Plus it's game number 2 in our Splice Guys 2025 championship! All that and more, this is Splice Guys! 

We Live In Nosferatu

Happy New Year! We are back and better than ever, as we hit you with two reviews on this week's episode. First up is 'We Live In Time', the new Rom Com starring Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh. Then we review 'Nosferatu' the new adaptation from Robert Eggers. We review both using the new Splice Guys Scale. Plus we introduce a brand new segment! All that and more, this is Splice Guys! 

The Splice Guys Christmas Special

Merry Boxing Day everyone! We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas. The Splice Guys celebrate Christmas, like only we know how. We each picked a Christmas movie to watch and review and discuss on today's episode.

The 2025 Preview Show

On today's special episode, we give you a look behind the curtain as we talk about the future of the pod. More importantly, it's our big 2025 preview! We look at a whole heap of movies coming to the big screen in 2025, what we are excited for, what we think might not be so great, amongst some hopeful hidden gems. 
 
Next week is our final review of the year, but fear not, as we are also planning a Christmas special.
